Men’s Lacrosse to mark 125th birthday

The Stevens Men’s Lacrosse program will turn 125 in 2009, and alumni are planning a big birthday celebration on April 25, 2009, at Stevens.

 

Stevens Men’s Soccer Makes History

The final game was a heart-stopper

The Stevens men’s soccer team made school history in December 2008 by becoming the first team ever from Stevens to compete in the NCAA National Championship game. In a valiant effort, Stevens lost in overtime after battling to a 1-1 tie with past national Division III champ Messiah College.

Stevens students build racecar to compete in international Formula SAE contest

Dr. Christopher L. Coccio ´63, who works at Sono-Tek Corp. in Milton, N.Y., was named one of the best CEOs in the country by DeMarche Associates, Inc. The designation is awarded to a very select group of American CEOs — this year 163, or less than 2.5 percent out of a potential field of 6,700 — who during the last three years generated the most shareholder value per unit of CEO compensation. "This recognition is especially significant today, when there is much public outcry about CEOs whose compensation is rising meteorically even as their companies falter," said Robert Marchesi, chairman of DeMarche Associates. "We should all be encouraged by the ability of Christopher L. Coccio, Ph.D., and the other best CEOs to counter this trend by delivering more for less. They have proven to be tremendous assets to their companies."

Dr. Joseph A. Zuclich ´64 of San Antonio, Texas, will receive the 2009 George M. Wilkening Award at the International Laser Safety Conference, scheduled for March 2009 in Reno, Nevada.
