WCPR celebrates its 50th anniversary
WCPR has been on the air for 50 years, spinning the tunes that
make your body move. Listen in, and you'll hear just how much
times have changed since the Institute's official radio station
hit the airwaves in 1959. You can now hear the radio via an
Internet webcast or campus TV Channel 3. Song requests can be
made online. And you can follow WCPR on Twitter or connect with
staff members on Facebook, after reading their blogs, of course.
Still, from pop and punk to hip hop and death metal, WCPR's
music is what keeps Castle Point grooving all day long. The
station is planning a special shindig on Oct. 3 at Stevens to
celebrate its 50th anniversary, and all WCPR alumni are invited
